Directions to Ballybeg from Dublin Airport
The journey time from Dublin airport is approx 1 hour 30 mins.
From the airport, take the M1 (signposted Dublin).
Leave the M1 at junction 3, then at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the M50 (signposted M50 Southbound).
Continue on the M50, at approx 42 Km you'll merge onto the M11 and then the N11.
Continue on and take Exit 16 for Rathnew, Rathdrum and Wicklow. Take 1st exit off the roundabout signposted Rathnew/Wicklow.
You will pass Applegreen Service station on your right in Rathnew. Take 2nd exit off the roundabout signposted Rathdrum (R752).
Follow the signs for Rathdrum passing through Glenealy (R752).
Continue to Rathdrum on (R752)
Follow signs for Aughrim, You will pass a Hyundai Dealer on your left. Continue straight and after approx 1.5 Km take a right turn signposted for Aughrim (R753).
Follow the road through Ballinaclash, the road bends sharply to the left after the bridge.
Continue on (R753) for 8 Km until you reach Aughrim.
In Aughrim turn left at The Market Square House, passing Lawless Hotel (on your right) continue over the bridge you will reach a “T” Junction, turn right for Tinahely (R747).
After 6.5Km you'll come to an old petrol station (on your right).
Take a right turn here signposted for Ballinglen (L6304).
At the next T-junction, turn left towards Tinahely (L3205).
About 1Km up this road you will see the stone walled entrance to Ballybeg House on your right.
Directions to Ballybeg from Cork
From Cork City take the N8 through Fermoy. At Junction 4 take the R693 exit for Kilkenny. This is a tolled road. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the R693.
Follow the R693 through Kilkenny and at the roundabout take the 4th exit for the New Castlecomer Road. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N10. At Junction 8 take the N80 exit for Carlow. Follow signposts for Tullow and then Shillelagh. Follow the R747 from Shillelagh to Tinahely. In Tinahely you will come in at the top of O’ Dwyers Square. Follow the road straight down (the Bank of Ireland will be on your right) and across the bridge. Bear left at the bottom of Mangans Hill and continue to bear left for 4km. You will pass Kilaveaney church on your right and Tinahely Nurseries on your left. Continue straight ahead and the entrance to Ballybeg will appear on your left.
